To Rap the Rap — Part II + track

Once a wise man told me, “if you don’t rap it, then it’s a poem.” My ego was challenged, however, the storm in my full glass of water came from… “ I think the world is not prepared for Chufi’s rap” Like the Fugees, ready or not here I come…

After the exhaustive first-time-writing-a-rap experience I naively thought my mission was completed.

“I wanna hear you rapping” — that was one of the thousands unanimous requests. And that’s how Lil’Chufi was brought back to life, again and for the last time. Expecting less about this mess, I thought rapping a rap would be average hard. It was holistically hard . The most funniest/challenging thing I’ve done in a while — Lil’Chufi can sleep in piece right now.

The epic intro — production “You have to have a pace, cuz you if you race things won’t be again in the same place.” my inner rapper, Lil’Chufi As I previously mentioned, there were some people that dived in my “rapotencial” . To be honest they’re just looking for some entertainment and I couldn’t take this away from them… First, I had @thiscity, impressively supportive, helping me to find the right rhymes that would complete my spare thoughts, pushing me to turn this into a real thing. Tweaks here and there happened, and boom shakalaka, the lyrics were ready. Then it got fancier, as I got a producer @benjiman, who created THE beat, and turned out to be my rapping coach/DJ. He brainwashed me by making me listen to @Eminem plus other famous rappers, while eating pizza and quesadillas. He literally got my rap into the track teaching me how to place my rhymes into the rhythm. Last, lots of practice, some taratatatas and tongue-twisters - it was intense.

The Call

It was a typical Sunday night when I received a call “Hey, how about watching a movie?” and it’d finally down on me, when I reply with the most typical (#akward) answer “sorry, I can’t today! I’m gonna record my rap.” Such! The time had come, tchaaaaa…

Born to be wild, not a rapper Yes, I take things seriously when it comes to unique experiences. I’m also down on earth to admit this was a one time rapping. So no more chitchat, hot, off the wire, mind-blower labour label I present the amateur result of The Ice Breaker by Lil’Chufi feat. Paul Martin

Fun facts — How people reacted #hpr Nicole Chufi — most known as Chufi, baller, junkbox, she runs everything and really wears crocs, mind-blower, moonlight walker, haves her own wall, wrote her first rap as a new year resolution, and came from a spaceship from somewhere in Brazil.#hpr when I said I was writing a rap — hahahahaha + a weird suspicious look #hpr when they realized I was not kidding — an eyebrow raise — oh! really? #hpr after I released the composed rap “I’m still processing the fact ….” — Never ending brain process — “Looking fwd to hear you” #hpr when I said I was preparing to rap a rap. “I can also wrap a wrap, wait, what?” #hpr when I released my rap rapped — A mistery. Holistic Take Aways

  • The wise men was wise.

  • I wasn’t born to be a rapper, but I gave birth to a rap.

  • People support a unique experience — how many people do you know, have ever written a rap?

  • It’s the best activity for distractions and getting concerns far far away.

  • Paying more attention how rappers cheat on rhymes.

Other valuable things I’ve learned in this journey:

  • Finding out who is really there in all the bullshits you decide to do.

  • Discovering that one of your closest buddies had a freakin’ cool DJ history

  • Playing Mario Bros and getting to the level to defeat bowser is as challenging as writing a rap. (yes, I couldn’t think of a better definition, I had a pretty cool childhood)

  • Never underestimate things you’ve never done or that could be ridiculous to be done. They are THE SHIT!

THE EPIC END! - or wait… If you feel lost or wonder how this all started check To write a rap — Part I It’s not everyday that a rap is born, so many thanks to whom insisted in having this puzzled label labor resolved. Jacob Hidas — famous as Jake, bro, yankee, popular in this city, video guy, known for his bad jokes, tries to be cool, quiz nights, a natural rhymer, great sense of humour and always encouraging creativity@thiscity (the cool guy) Paul Martin- most know as Benjamin Holm, bro, Finnish, design expert, has his own diagram, met Santa this year, knows how to pack a bag, came from a generation that doesn’t count, coolest DJ and guitar player@benjiman ( the Ben 3x ) Marshall Bruce Mathers III- Most known as Eminem, american rapper, songwriter, record producer, and actor, king of hip hop, inspiring muse, made various breathtaking smart raps.@Eminem (the muse) I also had a special voice/participation of @SeanO’Brien! THANK YOU ALL!
